SolidWorks Office 2006

We utilize the standard in 3D mechanical design software.

SolidWorks allows Skyway to manage all of its stringent design requirements, while providing full parametric support with our Surfware machining product. SolidWorks allows us to quickly and efficiently manipulate your concepts or finished designs into a tangible working product. Be it a multi-tip hot runner mold design, complex parting line, modification of existing models, data collaboration for an existing assembly, converting concepts into a 3D model or reverse engineering, SolidWorks has all of the tools necessary to quickly address the needs of our clients.

Surfcam Velocity - Multi-Axis (2-5 Axis), Lathe/Mill Turn, Wire EDM

Here is where we bring your projects to life. Everything that goes through our machines must first pass through Surfcam. Since most of today’s designs can no longer be defined in a simple 2 dimensional plane, due to the complex shapes designed in 3D Cad systems, said designs can only be machined using a compatible Cad/Cam system. Our Surfcam software solves this problem. Since Surfcam is designed to offer bi-directional associativity with SolidWorks, changes to part files and tool paths can now be made seamlessly between both programs. We can make direct file translations, so that the integrity of your solid model designs are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

We have been using Cad/Cam software now for almost a decade for all of our CNC fabrication, so we are ahead of the curve of many manufacturing companies who have not yet embraced the latest software technologies. Whether its hi-speed machining of complex multi-surface geometry, high feed rate removal of aluminum, stainless steel, mold steel, copper alloy or graphite. Skyway has the knowledge to select the correct cutting process for your features.

Predator Desktop for data collaboration

Predator Desktop offers a seamless organized data interface for all of the shop floor’s automation. Predator allows us to take control of all aspects of data transfer, to and from our CNC equipment. Also incorporated is an Ethernet port server to allow maximum data throughput when machining complex 3D geometry. We also utilize the 3D solids G-code back-plotter, to ensure that our code matches your geometry.
